coding.jpg It used to be difficult to compare your occupation to every other job on the market. The only employment you could compare to your profession were those held by your friends, family, and relatives. But, thanks to the Internet, we can now see what happens in a particular career, such as A Day in the Life of a Copywriter, A Day in the Life of a Video Editor, and find that being a copywriter or video editor pays the same as programming and is not as mentally challenging. After that, we begin to lose interest in coding. Let's look at how you can stay motivated to code and enjoy your work as a software developer.

1- Stay away from Negative people

You will encounter folks who will question why you are choosing programming as a career. There is no scope for programming-related jobs. In the next 5-10 years Artificial learning and machine learning will replace the need for a programmer. It's human nature to be distracted by others, but if you want to make a living as a programmer, avoid people who will keep you from coding.

2-Follow people who are successful in the Tech field

Follow people who are successful in programming. If someone is in tech from your family, friend, or relative build a strong connection with them to learn and seek guidance about programming. Join tech events meet-ups happening around your city. You may follow talented programmers on Twitter or LinkedIn to learn about their experiences and read the posts they've shared that are relevant to your field. It will inspire you and bring you closer to your ambition.

3-Have a Goal and Clear Plan

Find out why you should pursue coding as a career. Set a goal for yourself. It could be getting a job offer from Google, Tesla, or any other enterprise or building your startUp.Create a strategy for achieving that aim. Every day, do something toward that aim. Make that one goal your life. Think of it and live on it.

4- Remind yourself why you started learning to code

Whenever you're feeling discouraged to code. Take a break from coding and consider why you opted to study coding in the first place. You must have noticed some advantages to coding and decided to pursue it. Before you quit, give it some thought.

5- Take time to learn concepts

Aspiring developers show off how they mastered Python in 15 days, JavaScript in a month, etc. Do not learn a programming language in this way. Take your time to fully understand the concepts. If you have chosen to be a javascript developer stick to it. Practice questions on platforms like codewars , edabit, etc. If you don't understand the fundamentals of any programming language, you'll struggle most of the time in your day-to-day job and begin to doubt your decision to pursue coding as a career.

6-Develop small and simple projects

You don't have to come up with something remarkable like Facebook or WhatsApp. Simply go to YouTube and look at the projects and start building. Add some additional elements to it to give it a light touch of your vision. When it runs and executes, you will be motivated. The power of coding is that it allows you to create something with only a few lines of code.

7-Appreciate yourself

I think every developer is a self-taught developer. Because here we all keep on learning new languages and frameworks to stay ahead in our job. A software developer is not being spoon-fed. Yes, there are resources to guide you but you have to put immense effort to learn every day. So take time to praise yourself on your coding journey and remind yourself of how far you've come.

Let's wrap it up

Coding can be challenging but you can take out some time to work on something else beyond coding like writing articles about your learnings or anything related to your interest, Watching a Marvel movie, and answering on StackOverflow. Plan to do your work remotely while traveling or on a trip.
